The City Of Dreams.

Hong Kong is possibly one of the most beautiful places I’ve been too and trust me I’ve been to many places. I’m sure for a lot of people if you’ve never been there it just seems like another one of those cities like New York or London. While I can’t speak for New York, I think Hong Kong is very different. I’ve been there before but at the age of 5 you don’t really take much in and realise the beauty of a city or country. There wasn’t one place that I went in Hong Kong that didn’t impress me. The architecture in a place so different from my home is astounding and it really is a gorgeous place.

It was beautiful but the one downside was the two flights, one being twelve hours. Although flying as you guys may know is one of those things I prefer not to do I’ve come to the realisation that there is no point being scared as I take roughly six flights a year. I also think that is such a privilege to be able to travel as much as I do and I don’t want to not be enjoying something when some people would kill to do it as much as I can.

The second I stepped out of the airport I was impressed and the whole taxi ride to my aunt and uncles home I was looking out the window up at all the high rise buildings. One of my favourite things about Hong Kong was that you could go from being in an area with tall high rise buildings and then in an area surrounded by trees and forest.

I our five day stay we did a lot of eating. Where I live we don’t have a lot of asian restaurants which for me, a lover of Korean food, this is very disappointing. Where I live we have like a couple Thai and Chinese take out restaurants but TBH they aren’t amazing. We went to Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Malaysian and korean restaurants in Hong Kong. They were all amazing as my aunt and uncle have been living there for about ten years so they know where to go and what to eat.

If you ever get the chance to go, go there is something there for everybody and it is somewhere that I could see myself living. I don’t remember the last time I enjoyed a trip as much as I enjoyed this one. I hope to go again one day.

Lake Como

Hey guys,

its Mai here with yet another blog post about Italy. This time we ventured north with some friends to Lake Como in the region of Lombardy. It was super fun and honestly if I could live anywhere it would deffo be Como. Personally I think its absolutely gorgeous and I’d gladly stay longer if I could. So here is a short summary of what I thought of Como.

On one very memorable day we rented a boat which was pretty amazing. We ented it for about 3 hours and went to several places.

We first stopped of at a quiet corner in the lake where we went last year. We had a quick swim with a stunning backdrop and then ate lunch.

For the rest of the time we pretty much zoomed around sightseeing.

Hello: Plans

Hiya guys,

Last year I went on an amazing holiday! We started the trip in Berlin and finished in Rome. It was probably one of my favourite holidays I’ve ever have. Now Italy to me feels like a home away from home and I greatly miss it. This summer we are retuning to Italy and probably Lake Como.

Hopefully I wil blog every step of the way. One of the reasons I started this new blog was to get myself out of the habit of feeling like all the photos had to be perfectly taken with a camera which was quite difficult as I don’t always have a computer on me. So I will be using my phone for the blogging and on returning I will post a holiday summary with photos taken by my camera. I hope that you are all excited!
