I going to be honest, I kind of hate t-shirts. They wear out really easy, you can’t pair them with much however the right t-shirt in the right outfit looks great. This particular t-shirt is great! This is one of my favourite outfits and I always pull it out if I have a last minute thing. The trousers, in case you were wondering, are from H&M.
I get so many compliments on this t-shirt and people always ask where I got it from because lets be honest ,it is stunning. I never find it hard to pair it with anything because it’s so simple and flattering. It has that kinda weird half sleeve thing going on that usually suits almost everyone which is personally why I like it so much. One of the things that stresses me out about graphic tees is the thought that the writing or design might peel off but this t-shirt hasn’t even showed a little sign of peeling which, I mean straight away gives it a 10/10 for me. Also it is literally the most comfortable shirt I’ve ever worn, not that I’ve worn many t-shirts, but still.
I bought it from the wonderful world of Etsy! A little brand called FAFWEAR sells this gorgeous tee. Enjoy shopping!
Go check out my INSTAGRAM and have a look at some more pics from this little photo shoots.
I’m not the kind of person to get super bad acne however I have those annoying pimples that stay as lil bumps forever and at most 5 or 6 really big red pimples. If you haven’t noticed snapchat a a news section and I think it was on refinery 29 when I first witnessed the magic of pimple patches. I was completely clueless as the article didn’t say where you get this amazing little stickers. Until I came across these……
These are sold by a small eco friendly brand called EcoFeminii (links will be at the bottom of the page). I have been testing them out over the course of a month and found the way they work for me. I have also tested them out on friends to see how they work on different skin types.
I have found two of the best times to use them. First when I notice a pimple surfacing and is not ready for popping so I’ll pop one on overnight. The next best time to use them is probably the most helpful. After having a shower (so your pores are open) pop it then put a patch on to ensure every thing is out and the evil little spot will be no more. I have very dry skin and this is how it works for me.
I tried it on my friend who has oily skin and she didn’t pop them or anything and just put them straight onto her spot and it worked even better on her skin and you could hardly see anything the next day which is amazing! Especially if you have a even on the next day.
They came packaged in this sterile packaging which was nice to see as I was worried about that but I was very happy to see this. They also arrived very quickly.
I haven’t found anything bad about them except I find they don’t work in 2 places. The first place is just under your nose and around your mouth but this is because you’re constantly breathing on them so they loose the stick and fall of . This didn’t really bother me as I assumed they wouldn’t because it just kind of makes sense.

They are very affordable compared to larger beauty companies who sell things like this and I highly recommend!
If there is one thing I could wish for it would be to be able to sort out my sleep routine because my god it’s not normal. I fall asleep at like two in the morning and then wake up at like seven….not very smart, not very healthy and it doesn’t make me feel great. However I do have a few tips and tricks I can use to help me fall asleep at a preferred time and I would love to share them with you but this is the one I’m going to share with you as well as a few products. I’v wanted to do this for a really long time but in my old house the lighting wasn’t very good in the bathroom but now, lucky me, I am finally able to show you a decent pamper routine.
To start I recommend using Himilayan pink salt or Epsom salts in your bath. If not bath bombs are always great choice particularly ones from lush.
These are some of my skin care favourites at the moment and if you haven’t figured it out already I’m kinda obsessed with Nip+Fab because its absolutely amazing. I start with the Soap&Glory vitamin C foaming cleanser which I have almost completely run out of. I follow it up with the Pure Essential facial scrub and lastly the Spa Sanctuary Cleansing balm; which by the way is the best decision I’ve made because it turned my skin from one flake away from completely cracking off to combination or at least hydrated dish.
I usually get pretty board around about this time because sitting I’m a mini pool which you can’t actually swim in isn’t going to be the time of my life. I usually watch a TV show on Netflix or youtube and sometimes a read a book on my kindle.
After the bath my skincare is pretty simple. For toner I use the Garnier Skin Active rose water toner which would probably be ten times more enjoyable if I hadn’t finished all my cotton pads. Then I use the Nip+Fab Bee Sting eye cream which actually sounds super weird but is nice and smells divine. I follow that up with the ever trusty Nip+Fab dragons blood fix plumping serum.
I use the Victoria Secret Pink 24K blush body lotion because it smells like heaven in a bottle.
Hope you found some products that may work for you and look forward to some upcoming posts!
I am a makeup lover and as much as I love doing creative looks I also love going back to the basics and doing simple looks. The first time I heard of this look it didn’t really make sense to me because it is supposed to accentuate things like under eye circles, beauty marks and lots of other things people try to cover up. I did decide to try it in the end and now I go for this look almost everyday. Part of the reason I think I like it is because I usually do warmer coppery makeup looks because that is just what seems trendy at the moment but that doesn’t really suit me because I have a medium skin tone that leans to the cooler side and a lot of the colours you use in this look are cool toned bruise kinda colours. So without further adieu here is how to execute ‘the boy beat’ makeup look.
One thing I recommend is not wearing foundation and maybe use only concealer but in my case I decided to just go for a powder so I’m not super shiny I used Rimmel match perfection in translucent. This way your beauty marks, freckles and unique features of your face can help really enhance the look. The next thing I do is do my brows and since I died my hair black I’ve been using Benefit Ka-Brow in the shade 6. You want to make sure you don’t fill your brows in too heavy handed so it looks more natural. With your brow Gell you want to brush your hairs up so they look more feathery and natural.
I love doing a little nose contour but I struggle a bit because to make it look realistic I continue it up my nose and under my brows a bit. This is fine but I was surfing last year and fell of my board and someone surfed over my face just under my brow so they is a bit of texture from where I was cut which makes it hard to blend out makeup there but oh well. I use a pale pink and light browny purply colour for nose contour but if I wasn’t doing this particular look I’d reach for Benefit hoola bronzer. I also put a bit in the indent between my chin and lips to make my lips appears bigger.
For my eyes I use that same pale pink and browny purply bruisy colour and place it on my lid close to my lash line and under my eyes, again sticking close to the lash line. When you apply it to your lid make sure your not focusing on your crease but instead not giving your eye to much shape.
My favourite part of this look is FAUX FRECKLES and I’m so obsessed with faux freckles at the mo you have no idea. For the freckles I usually with use a plastic toothpick and either dip it in to a warm to browny eyeshadow or ill use my Benefit Ka-Brow in the shade 4. I would recommend using 3 for light to medium skin tone and 4 or 5 for a darker skin tone. I should probably be using 3 but 4 is what I have. You can also use a pencil and benefit have the same shades in the pencil anyway. You want to put them across your cheeks kinda where you put blush but also put them on your nose bridge and to the side of your nose bridge. To help blend out the freckles I like to apply a darker purply pink blush and spread it from my cheeks and also on my nose bit. I used Nip+Fab blusher palette in velvet.
You don’t have to use any of the products I’ve used but if you don’t know for example what colour blush you can search the shade name I mentioned and then you know what shade.
Lastly, lips! I’ve done a lip cocktail and used a couple different lip colours. I started by putting Bare Mineral gen nude radiant lipstick in the shade Panko in the middle of my lips and then applying NYX Lip Lingerie in the shade Honeymoon over top. I then blend it out and run a cue tip along my lip line to soften it.
This is my final look, you may not really be able to see the freckles in the photo because of the lighting but oh well. Good luck and if you re-create this look make sure to tag me on Instagram @hello_its_mai.
